Some people have suggested me to put the resulting web pages from the script I mentioned earlier to show all the TTF fonts in Debian available somewhere in the net, so I’ve put them here. I’ve also modified the script a bit, so I’ve uploaded a new version (same name, same URL).
As a side note, it was somehow surprising to see that many of Enlightenmet packages include their own copy of Vera fonts. I must remember to file some bugs about that.
I suspect that some packages might be missing anyway, so I’ll have to re-check the script.
Brilliant idea and very cool script.
Maybe the img output could also include extended latin characters?
For extra open font catalogs you may want to http://unifont.org/fontguide/ and http://scripts.sil.org/OFL_fonts (various ITP underway).

This reminds me of a non-obivious but useful font: TSCu_Comic from ttf-tamil-fonts provides a Comic Sans clone. It uses an odd character set, but letters, numbers, and some symbols work fine.

Nice page! I’m missing my own package ‘msttcorefonts’, of course understandable since it’s in contrib and doesn’t contain the fonts directly but is rather a downloader. Still, it might be worthwhile to include those fonts somehow? I’m btw working on a new version of the package that includes also the Tahoma font, but due to debconf translations this will take another two weeks.

I’ve updated the script again, and also the web pages. All the packages including .ttf files that are not symbolic links should be there now.
